08-05-2016 : Radian XL FPV with Connex ProSight HD

E-Flite Radian XL FPV Maiden with Connex ProSight HD:
I recognize this will not be a long range FPV platform as-is, but wanted to test some components out. Decided to give it a try on a nice evening after work, just gliding and looking around for a relaxing flight. I did the landing LOS, I usually do on most FPV maidens.

RMRC Racing Gates

9/4 – RMRC Racing Gates came in today (from a group buy). We picked up 8-). Got home from work towards dusk, had just enough time to head to farm and unpack one, setup, and get a quick flight in to test and make sure the racing gate worked. My wife helped capture video of the test, the group wanted proof they worked:

FPV-Capable Flying Wing – Nicknamed ‘Judith’

2 sheet foam board FPV flying wing.  Roughly 14 oz (as seen).  KMF3 wing.  Should have TONS of lifts.  It’s very rigid with the wing steps and hot glue.  Extreme packing tape for extra strength and flight control hinges.  Might add a carbon arrow shaft for a spar.  Going to use a 2200mah 3s.  Unsure of motor.  Looking for motor/prop suggestions.  Doesn’t need to be blistering fast, just powerful to get out of trouble.  This is a one-off NineJeez original.  I have templates if anyone is interested.  30 min build.  Canards will be added after motor and electronics.  9gram servos should be sufficient.  Cost is about $6 so far.
